Rescue Center Wonderlab
The Wonderlab of the Rescue Center by PTW is a library and learning centre for children living in the Rescue Center of Eldoret, Kenya run by volunteers to provide tutouring, extra classes or supervised learning to the children. The children of the Rescue Center are former street-children who have been abandoned or fled their homes under various circumstances. These children, enduring hardship on the streets and are exposed to drug abuse, crime, child abuse, sexual abuse and more.
The children are either brought to Rescue Center or find their way to the Rescue Center, where they are socially rehabilitated and given a home and opportunity for schooling and learning. The Rescue Center work to connect these children back to their familes or extended families and help rehabilitate the children back into the family homes. Until they are able to be reintroduced into their family homes, the children live at the rescue center and are given food, shelter, and a sense of community and safety.
Project Third World /
Positively Transforming World
Positively Transforming World (PTW) is a 100% volunteer-run international organisation that focuses on health and education. We are not an international-volunteering organisation, but rather, a volunteer organisation that has volunteers working to improve health and education in their own towns, cities and communities. Our volunteers across the globe connect together as one team to improve the world.
All money raised from PTW health and education events and workshops are used to resource disadvantaged and struggling schools and orphanages with health and education resources. PTW volunteers who live in the towns and cities of these schools and orphanages volunteer at the school or orphanage to improve health and education.
The children attending these schools and living in these orphanages are very disadvantaged and from low-income backgrounds.
