The last post I delivered was in regards to a young man who had just lost his mother. I am so happy to say that he has moved to Durban in the South West with his Uncle who did not have to, but has decided to take him in as one of his own. He is already on his way to a new school and he remains here in South Africa.

This is some of the most pleasing news we could have ever received.

Sadly, with this news comes news of one of our current students who is being attacked on his way home from school, his father currently in hospital, suffering at the hands of thugs in the local area. They have been chased by men with sticks and are being targeted for an unknown reason. We have been driving the student home so as to see him safely through the gates of his property.

What compels people to commit these crimes? To attack a primary school child? I wish I had the answers but I don't. We can only do what is in our power and I just hope that our efforts to keep the student safe will be enough.
